Noblesville, IN October 1, 2018 – Continuing its efforts to recruit industry expertise, Paxxal Inc., an innovative provider of shipping platforms, announces the appointment of David G. Kalan as Vice-President of Marketing and Business Development effective October 1, 2018. Kalan reports to Ben Stoller, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Managing Member of Paxxal, and has responsibility for marketing and customer development.
Kalan brings more than three decades of marketing and business development leadership to the role, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Marketing for RM2, the creator of the first IoT-connected composite pallet. He has developed marketing and sales strategies for many of the world’s iconic brands, including Heinz, Ocean Spray, Johnson & Johnson and Atari. As the sixth employee, Kalan was on the forefront of the startup iGPS where he led the successful sales effort in the perishable and produce sectors. He also has extensive knowledge in pallet design and best customer applications.
“Dave’s extensive supply chain experience and unique knowledge of the plastic pallet marketplace combined with his progressive mindset will enhance our executive team tremendously,” said Stoller. “He is also one of the Reusable Packaging Association’s cheerleaders and is an industry expert on how the IoT, track and trace techniques and data collection drive supply chain efficiencies. Kalan has served as a board member of the Reusable Packaging Association and is a member of the RX-360 Steering Committee that focuses on supply chain security for the pharmaceutical global industry. He is also a founding member of the new RX-IoT.org association, which is bringing the IoT, FDA and the pharmaceutical industry together to develop standards for data integrity and educate its members on the integration of the IoT into their respective business models.
